The 2nd annual Joan and Chester Luby Pitch Competition brought UNC student teams to the Innovate Carolina Junction to pitch their ventures in 2.5 minutes for a share of over $95,000 in funding. Hosted by 1789 Hub and powered by Innovate Carolina, the event featured finalists from the 1789 Student Venture Fund. Winners included Scyntek ($30k), STEM PLUG ($25k), Chapel Chill Tub Club ($20k), and BuckIT ($15k), with judges Melissa Carrier, Alex Brandwein, and Bernard Bell.
