Founder brief
Who should attend
Startup founders across any sector looking to meet peers in the local tech community will benefit from this free gathering. It serves early-stage and established builders who want to connect with ecosystem partners and learn from live product demonstrations without navigating commercial sales pitches.
What happens
Attendees gather at 5:30 for pizza and initial networking before the stage program starts at 6:15. Community announcements, a tech demo, and a keynote talk run until 7:30. Another hour of venue networking follows, with conversations moving to a nearby local pub starting at 8:30.
Who's in the room
Organizers Selby Cary and Darren Dalrymple host the evening under the banner of UK Startup Events. The broader room brings together local technologists, founders, and supporters linked to sponsors CreateFuture, Startup Founders Meetup, and UK Startup Hub.
How to prepare
Refine a brief, casual explanation of what your venture builds to share during the open networking sessions. Since community announcements are on the schedule, identify ahead of time whether you have specific asks, milestones, or hiring needs to mention to fellow attendees over drinks.
