The scene right now

Tokyo has eight upcoming startup events scheduled across the city. Pitch nights make up the largest share of the calendar with four sessions, alongside two summits and two conferences. Founders will find an entirely in-person environment, as none of the currently planned gatherings are hosted online. Whether you are preparing to present your deck or looking to observe regional industry panels, the current schedule offers focused, physical spaces to connect across the metropolitan area.

Recurring series

The upcoming lineup consists entirely of standalone sessions and annual gatherings rather than frequent repeating series. Founders tracking future pitch nights can look ahead to dates like qcp Startup Pitch 2026 on November 12, START-UP FRONTIER FEST 2026 on November 18, IE Venture Day Japan 2026 on November 20, and the ABS Business Open 2027 scheduled for March 13. Other key single-edition dates include summits such as Innovation Summit Tokyo 2026 on December 10.

Who runs the events

Activity is spread evenly across individual hosts rather than dominated by a single group. Organizers staging upcoming events include Sansan, Inc. (Eight Business Division), TORYUMON OFFICE SHIBUYA, and Transpose Japan Summit 2026, each coordinating one event. Other active hosts working with founders in Tokyo include サンフロンティア不動産株式会社 and Aoba-BBT Inc. Each organization brings its own singular conference, pitch gathering, or summit to the broader metropolitan ecosystem.

Busiest months

The closing months of 2026 represent the most active period on the local startup calendar. November 2026 is the busiest month with four events scheduled, followed by December 2026 which features three events. Looking further out into the new year, momentum slows significantly, with only one gathering currently planned for March 2027. Founders seeking networking opportunities will find the highest density of options concentrated in late autumn and early winter.
