Founder brief

Who should attend

Startup creators across any sector who want practical guidance on building and scaling will appreciate the setup. It works especially well for operators seeking peer input on immediate operational challenges or looking to share recent milestones with fellow company builders.

What happens

Attendees arrive at 17:30 for open badge-assisted networking, followed by introductions and a community shoutout segment where participants air challenges and wins. A tactical fireside chat covering startup growth strategies runs from 19:00, leading into further drinks and potential pub drinks after 20:45.

Who's in the room

Participants include hosts Dec McLaughlin from Stripe, Hamish Geddes and Selby Cary from Mapify Logistics, and Megan from Aether Legals. Alongside them are local founders and operators brought together under the support of CMS equIP and UK Startup Hub.

How to prepare

Formulate a concise summary of what your company does, along with one specific challenge you need help solving during the community shoutout session. Keep your asks straightforward so relevant peers can spot you easily during the badge-assisted networking blocks.
